Ospreys Under 18's kept alive their hopes of reaching WRU Age Grade Final with 27-16 victory over the Blues at Ely Memorial Ground.
The Blues took an early lead through a Diggy Bird penalty but the Ospreys responded with a try from hooker Gareth Harvey converted by Tom Prydie , a further Bird penalty and try from scrum half Tom Rowlands converted by Bird to give the Blues 7-13 lead . The determined Ospreys were up for the challenge and wing Bowdy Davies crossed for a try after a break by full back Matthew Morgan converted by Prydie but a further Bird penalty gave the Blues 14-16 advantage going into the going into final quarter . The Ospreys determination and drive to keep alive their final hopes brought success with a Chris Banfield try converted by Prydie and a brace of penalties from Prydie resulted in a 27-16 victory. The other regional game due to be played last night between the Dragons and Scarlets at Newbridge was postponed due to the weather.
