Ospreys Under 18's defeated a strong Best of the Rest Under 18's from within the Osprey region 17 - 8 at Corus RFC
The Best of the Rest under the leadership of hooker David Bishop (Tondu) gave the Ospreys Under 18's a hard fought encounter and at one stage victory looked a possibility. The Ospreys lead 10-0 at half time after a penalty from Owen Williams and a try by No8 Toby Davies converted by Williams. The second half belonged to the Best of the Rest with a try from scrum half Matthew Francis (Maesteg Celtic) and Kyle Garwood (Bryntawe) penalty reducing the Ospreys lead to 10-8 ,the Ospreys defence held and they closed out the game with a converted try by fly half Owen Williams. The game proved a good exercise for the viewing and future development of players from within the region.
