Speaking about his 100th Ospreys cap, Ryan Jones commented:

“Everybody knows how much I love this region so it’s a tremendous honour and achievement to reach 100 caps for the Ospreys, and is something that gives me great pride.

“It’s an elite club that I’m joining, and to be part of a group that consists of so many great players and real Ospreys is pretty special. I don’t want to stop at a 100 though, I’ve signed a new deal that will keep me here for a few more years and hopefully I can chalk up a few more appearances yet. For now though, I’ll enjoy reaching 100 in such a massive game for the region.”

Forwards Coach, Jonathan Humphreys, added:

“At the Ospreys, we have always been huge admirers of Ryan. He is a natural leader and we believe that he epitomises everything that the Ospreys stand for. It’s great that he has achieved 100 caps, and for it to come in such a big match makes it extra special for him.

“He is extremely passionate about the Ospreys, he loves this region and takes great pride from wearing the shirt so this achievement will mean a lot to him, I’ve no doubt about that. As one of the main leaders in our environment, on and off the field, I have no doubt that he will continue to serve the Ospreys well in the coming seasons.”
