The Ospreys Supporters Choir will be providing pre-match entertainment at the Liberty Stadium on New Year's Day ahead of the big Welsh derby game against Cardiff Blues (KO 6.30pm).
Their pitch-side performance gets underway at 6.10pm, 20 minutes before the first whistle, and they will be singing for 15 minutes until right up before kick-off.
Originally formed in 2006 in order to compete in the S4C television programme Codi Canu, the Ospreys Supporters Choir continued performing once the series had finished in 2008 due to the desire of many members to keep the choir going in order to indulge their mutual love of rugby and singing!
Always a hit when they visit the home of the region, the choir first performed at the Liberty ahead of the historic Ospreys v Australia match in November of their inaugural year. They will once again be performing some familiar songs for supporters of both teams to join in.
Meanwhile, the Ospreys Supporters Village will provide plenty of fun for all the family to kick-off 2012, with a host of activities to entertain fans young and old ahead of kick-off.
The fun gets underway at 4.30pm, two hours ahead of kick-off, with the Ospreys rugby-themed inflatables, a bouncy castle, giant slide and ‘Human Demolition’ all in operation. There will also be face painters and balloon artists to keep the younger children entertained, along with a candy-floss stall, hog roast and bottle bar, making the Village the perfect place for family and friends to meet-up before the big game.

“We’ve created a Supporters Village that is proving a huge hit with the children, and our ‘Kids for a Quid’ ticketing policy means that a day at the rugby for all the family has never been cheaper. It’s important that we encourage the next generation of Ospreys supporters to join the cause and the feedback we get is that the Village and ‘Kids for a Quid’ will help us to achieve that.
