Ospreys stars Johnny Vaughton and Richard Hibbard have teamed up with Olympic Gold Medallist Duncan Goodhew to launch a major fundraising campaign to support people living with cancer.
The Marie Curie Cancer Care Swimathon will be taking place at swimming pools across Wales in April and Britain's Olympic Bronze Medallist came to the Olympic-sized pool in Swansea to launch the event.
Swansea's Lord Mayor Cllr Sue Waller met up with the sporting trio for the launch event.
According to Duncan Goodhew, the Swimathon could prove to be just the thing to encourage young people to get into sport.
He said, "The great thing about the Swimathon is that it appeals to all age groups. Children like to take part with their parents and groups of girls like to form teams and enjoy the camaraderie.
"Essentially swimming is great to keep people fit and the Swimathon can give them the impetus to progress from a casual swimmer to a regular swimmer."
Hundreds of local people from individuals to schools and businesses are expected to dive in for the fundraiser that aims to collect £1.8m across Britain last year. Cash raised from the event goes to Marie Curie and to the Swimathon Foundation.
