A 31-man touring squad will depart Llandarcy Academy of Sport on Thursday morning for a two game Guinness PRO14 mini-tour that will see them play games in Italy and South Africa.
First up is the relatively short hop from Cardiff Airport to the north east of Italy, with Benetton Treviso the opposition on Friday night at Stadio Comunale di Monigo (8.35pm KO local time).
After a day of recovery on Saturday the traveling party will then head south, flying out of Venice Marco Polo Airport at 7.20pm Saturday evening via a short changeover at Frankfurt, with the team touching down in Johannesburg at 8.30am on Sunday morning.
From there, they will head to Bloemfontein where the group will be based for the week ahead of Friday’s game against Cheetahs at the Toyota Free State Stadium on Friday 29th September, 5.00pm KO (local).
Post-match, the squad head home to the UK overnight Saturday 30th September/Sunday 1st October to prepare for the big Welsh derby versus the Scarlets at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday 7th October, 7.35pm KO.
