The Ospreys will be Wales’ only side in European rugby’s premier tournament after qualifying for the Heineken Champions Cup as the highest placed Welsh team in the United Rugby Championship.
After becoming the first side to win the Welsh Shield in the inaugural URC campaign, the Ospreys now face the mouthwatering prospect of facing the best sides English and French rugby have to offer.
It will be the second successive season that the Ospreys will represent Wales at European rugby’s top table.
Toby Booth’s side recorded wins over Munster, Ulster, Edinburgh and the Scarlets during this URC campaign and emerged with a record of having won five of their six Welsh derbies.
The Ospreys finished only three wins behind URC leaders and Irish province, Leinster, at the end of the regular season campaign.
