Ospreys put through their paces at the LC

Injured players have pushed their fitness routine to the extreme by swapping the training field for a brand new piece of multi-functional fitness equipment, Synrgy 360, at Swansea’s LC.

Tom Isaacs, Tom Smith and Dmitri Arhip took time out to train on the state-of-the-art equipment, which is fast becoming one of the latest fitness trends in the UK after already taking the US by storm.  The equipment represents an investment of £30,000 and provides fitness fans with a complete body workout helping to strengthen muscles and aid with weight loss.

Dean Owens, Gym Manager at the LC says, “It was great to have the players down at the LC for a Synrgy 360 training session. It offers something for everyone and helps people to improve their speed, agility and coordination through different stations. Now all of our LC Gym members can train like an Osprey on this brand new fitness unit.”

Tom Smith said of his experience on the Synergy 360 kit: “I thought it was great for an all over body workout. I found that it got my lungs going through the cardio exercises and I could also feel it working my muscles. I’m injured at the moment and training with equipment like this will help me to get back to full strength.”

The LC has recently partnered with the Ospreys and has a presence at selected home games in the ‘O-Zone’ where rugby fans can take part in fitness activities both before and after the matches. The LC team are on hand encouraging Ospreys supporters to try a range of fun activities.

Since reopening in 2008, the LC has invested heavily in providing modern, innovative fitness classes and equipment to its members. It is home to over 180 Technogym stations and over 100 classes per week. It offers a range of fun activities for families including the waterpark with its innovative Board Rider, wave machine and multiple slides, an interactive play area, climbing wall and a spa.
