Speaking ahead of the game coach Tom Smith said:
“It was great to get the result last weekend out in Galway, even if there were aspects of our performance that we need to improve on. However, getting over the line with our first win as a B&I squad should hopefully give us some confidence going into the return fixture at the Talbot Athletic Ground this Sunday. The players have worked hard in training this week and we are looking to put a better performance together and back up last weekend with another W.
“Both teams showed great endeavour to play rugby last weekend, and I’m sure similarly to us, Connacht will be looking to minimise their mistakes. To that end we need to be on the money and not allow Connacht easy ins into the game, and be alert to their wide attacking threats, as I’m sure they’ll be keen to try and throw the ball around again.
“It’s going to be another tough battle, but it’s one we are excited about, and are confident that with a few improvements that we can get another result. “
