Ospreys pride in Wales call-ups

Ospreys bosses today offered their congratulations to the 10 players from the region who have been named in Warren Gatland's Wales squad for the forthcoming autumn international series

Elite Performance Director, Andrew Hore, said:

"Our congratulations go out to each of the players named tonight in the Wales squad, and we wish them the very best of luck throughout November and the four international matches during this month.

"In particular, we should congratulate the members of the squad who were included in the party that went to North America on this summer's development tour and have now made the step up into the autumn series.

"The development of players for the national team is a major part of our remit, and we take these responsibilities very seriously. To see so many Ospreys in the Welsh squad once again is a clear indication of the excellent work we are doing to this end, and it is particularly satisfying to see so many homegrown players who have come through the ranks at the region getting the chance to shine at international level.

"One thing is clear, if a young player has aspirations to play for Wales the Ospreys is the place to come and develop."

Director of Coaching, Scott Johnson, added:

"It's a wonderful effort and is great news for every one of our players who has been selected in Warren's squad. They have worked extremely hard in recent months and have received the ultimate reward for their efforts through selection for the national set-up. We will all take enormous pride from their involvement with Wales, and I have no doubts that they will do themselves and the region proud over the coming month."
