Ospreys Mascot raising money to thank cancer charities

They'll be a special 24th man running out with the Ospreys team for the West Wales Derby on Boxing Day: mascot Morgan.

Morgan is just 3 years old and was diagnosed with a very rare and complex form of cancer in October 2021 named an adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC). He had major surgery in December 2021 to remove an abdominal tumour in Birmingham and had lung surgery in May 2022 in London.

He began an incredibly tough eight rounds of chemo after Christmas 2021 and finished in July 2022. Oral chemotherapy is ongoing, and his family are now awaiting end of treatment scans. Everyone at Ospreys is wishing Morgan all the very best with his ongoing journey.

Morgan and his family have been lucky to receive help from numerous charities during his treatment, including LATCH Welsh Children's cancer charity, Noah’s Ark Hospital Charity, Ronald McDonald House Cardiff, and the Kids Cancer Charity.

With all this support in mind, the family have set up ‘Morgan’s Fund for Charity' to raise money to support the charities who helped them and to make donations to other children in need.

Morgan, a huge Ospreys and Swansea City fan, is looking forwards to running out onto the pitch on Boxing Day. If you'd like to support the families fundraising efforts, you can donate to their Go Fund Me page here
