Ospreys host first aid course for clubs in

The Ospreys Community Rugby Department has announced details of a First Aid Course designed specifically to meet the requirements of rugby clubs in the region it will be hosting at Llandarcy Academy of Sport.

Taking place on Monday 18th January 2010, the course will commence at 6 p.m. and will last for three hours. The Course will provide the successful candidate with an NaRS Immediate Aid qualification.

The main aims of the course are:

1) To enable a candidate to act as appointed person to take charge of the first aid arrangements, including looking after the equipment and facilities and calling the Emergency Medical Services when required.

2) To deal with emergency incidents which may arise whilst coaching or supervising children or adults.

The cost of the course will be £35 per head.

Numbers are limited and demand is expected to be high, so early application is essential.
