Ospreys get the party started on Friday night

Ospreys bosses are calling on supporters to join the best party in town when Newport Gwent Dragons visit the Liberty Stadium on Friday (KO 7.05pm).

It's the final game of the regular Magners League season and there is sure to be a great atmosphere as the Ospreys look to secure a home semi-final in the play-offs next weekend.

Managing Director Roger Blyth said that everybody at the Ospreys is looking forward to the big game:

"It's a Welsh derby, it's the final game of the regular season, and we can secure a home semi-final if we get the right performance and result so it should be great occasion and we're all looking forward to it.

"Clearly our supporters have a big part to play in making it a special evening, and I'd like to think that they'll turn out in big numbers on Friday evening to back the team. We've seen so many times this season how a big passionate crowd can help to inspire the players, home and away, and hopefully, we'll see something similar.

"Once again the Supporters Village will be open for business to allow fans somewhere to meet and socialise before and after the game and to help generate the kind of atmosphere that we know they can, and that the players love to run out to. With live entertainment, a Welsh derby and a home play-off at stake, it should be the best party in town on Friday night!"

The Magners Supporters Village will be open for business at 5.05pm, two hours ahead of kick-off, to get the party started in style. Swansea band 'Breakdown' will be performing live in the Village before the game, and for one hour after the final whistle, while non-playing members of the Ospreys squad will be mingling with the crowd and pulling a few pints to help build the party atmosphere ahead of the Welsh derby.

As usual, the Kidszone will also be open for action for two hours before the game featuring a range of rugby themed inflatables such as try line tussle, bungee run, and passing targets, with additional inflatable fun in the Village, providing great fun for kids and older Ospreys alike, and with it being half term, there will be no excuse for not getting down there early and making the most of the fun and games.

Tickets for the game are now on sale at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office, via the Ticket Hotline on 08700 400 004, or online by clicking here
