The Ospreys have been getting into the festive spirit at Blasus - NPTC Group of Colleges’ training restaurant.
Around 40 players and back room staff enjoyed a three-course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings including turkey and Christmas pudding at the popular restaurant which is situated on the Neath Campus. The squad were served by hospitality and catering students who also prepared the feast.
The restaurant, formally known as the Paragon, has been training students and serving the community for more than 30 years. Paul Pearce, Deputy Head of School, said: “The students have been looking forward to serving the Ospreys all week. We are delighted that the team enjoyed their Christmas lunch and we look forward to them visiting us again.”
Alun Wyn Jones, Ospreys captain, said: “It’s great that we can come together as a squad to enjoy Christmas lunch, and even better that we were able to do that at Blasus, supporting the students at NPTC Group. . It’s important that local youngsters are offered the chance to shine, as a region we are committed to developing young talent and giving people opportunities, in the same way as NPTC Group are. It was a first class meal and a first class experience.”
