Ospreys face Falcons in Singha 7s

The Ospreys will play Newcastle Falcons in their opening game at the Singha Premiership 7s Final in Coventry next Sunday.

Having booked their spot in Finals Day at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Sunday 7th August courtesy of a second place finish in the Welsh leg of the competition last weekend, the Ospreys have watched patiently as the other three legs have been played out.

Last Saturday saw Exeter and Wasps join the Ospreys and Cardiff Blues, before Harlequins and Northampton Saints progressed last night. Saturday afternoon saw the final leg at Kingston Park, where hosts Newcastle Falcons and Sale Sharks completed the eight-team line-up for next weekend.

Finals day on Sunday 7th August at the Ricoh Arena will kick-off at 2pm with four quarter-final games, before the four winners go into the Cup semi-finals, the losers then playing for the Plate.

The draw for the day sees the Ospreys in the final game quarter-final, against the Falcons, who they have also been drawn with in this season’s European Rugby Challenge Cup.

Quarter-final fixtures:

Quarter Final 1 - Cardiff Blues v Sale Sharks

Quarter Final 2 - Exeter Chiefs v Northampton Saints

Quarter Final 3 - Harlequins v Wasps

Quarter Final 4 - Newcastle Falcons v Ospreys
