Ospreys Confirm Isaacs Signing

The Ospreys today confirmed that 22 year-old Tom Isaacs has signed a two-year deal with the region and will arrive at the Liberty Stadium in the summer.

OSPREYS CONFIRM ISAACS SIGNING  Isaacs, who joins the Ospreys from Newport RFC, has played seven times on permit for Newport Gwent Dragons this season, scoring one try against Newcastle Falcons last October. Standing 1.83m tall and weighing in at 90kg, Isaacs has been capped for Wales at Under-20 level, and played a key role for the victorious Welsh Sevens team at last month's Sevens Rugby World Cup in Dubai, including scoring a try for the World Champions in the shock quarter-final win against New Zealand. Ospreys Head Coach Sean Holley says that the region is delighted to secure the services of one of Wales' brightest young talents: "Tom is a bright young talented professional with a lot of attributes and a good skill set, he is quick, strong and tall, and will be an excellent addition to our squad. We believe that he has the ability to play in a number of positions, and we will initially take the opportunity to place him with one of our regional clubs to develop him further and look at some positional abilities. "We're looking forward to having a good look at him this summer when he reports for training at the region, and seeing him working alongside our other emerging players as well as the senior professionals. Tom has a bright future ahead of him, and we are pleased that he sees this future as an Osprey."
