Ospreys in the Community Volunteers

As we mark National Volunteer's week, we would like to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers.

They play a vital part of all our programmes and give up their valuable time to help us run our sessions, so we’d like to take the opportunity to thank them for everything they do.

In the last twelve months we have had ...

21 volunteers helping on the project

200 sessions and events have been delivered with volunteer help

6 venues host our clubs and weekly sessions.

Volunteers have made 4936 cups of tea and coffee for club members Volunteers have helped support 380 quizzes and games we have delivered.

Volunteers have had 190 chances to sit and chat with group members, to check in on members reminisce about sport.

Take a look at how they help us on Sporting Memories programme and see how the programme works to engage with older, socially isolated members of our community to share memories, re-connect and improve / maintain their physical and mental health. As well as helping those on the programme, our volunteers have said how beneficial the programme is for them as well as our attendees.

Volunteers are a massive help to the project. We couldn’t run without them but we need some more!!

If you'd like to get involved in volunteering, we'd love to hear from you.
