Ospreys in the Challenge Cup

The Ospreys return to European Challenge Cup action this weekend when they welcome French side Castres Olympique to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday evening.

Here’s our handy guide to the 20/21 tournament.

The 2020/21 streamlined Challenge Cup will start with 14 clubs – six from the TOP 14, four from the Premiership and four from the PRO14 – in a single pool. The tournament will be played over eight weekends with four rounds of matches in the preliminary stage.

The Ospreys have drawn Worcester Warriors and Castres Olympique in their pool and will kick off round 1 of the competition on Saturday 12th December at the Liberty Stadium kicking off at 8pm.

The following weekend, the Ospreys will make the trip to Sixways Stadium to face Worcester Warriors in round two.

The competition returns for round three in January where the Ospreys will welcome Worcester to the Liberty Stadium on Friday 15th January with the action kicking off at 8pm. The final weekend of the pool fixtures will conclude the following weekend with the Ospreys travelling to France to face Castres with the date and time to be confirmed.
