The Ospreys are marking the launch of the 2014/15 kit with a special competition for supporters throughout Ospreylia in conjunction with official radio station The Wave 96.4FM.

It’s the start of a new era for the region, with this year’s jersey the first ever to be produced by BLK.

A large replica of the new shirt has been cut into 9 pieces and hidden at key locations throughout Ospreylia. Clues are being released each morning and evening starting from Monday 4th August revealing the location of each piece.

The first lucky fan to go to each destination and find the shirt piece will win the chance to be part of the official unveiling of the new kit at the Liberty Stadium from Friday 8th August at 12pm.

The Ospreys have teamed up with The Wave to launch the ‘Search for the Shirt’ competition. The clues will be revealed at 8.30am and 5.45pm on air during the breakfast and drive time shows starting from Monday 4th August. Clues will also be released on Twitter via @964thewave from around 10 minutes prior to if you can’t get to your radio make sure you give them a follow.

There are 9 prize opportunities available throughout the week and the lucky winners will not only get to reveal the design of the new shirt at the official launch on Friday 8th August, they will also get a new shirt, match day tickets for a PRO12 game and a tour of the stadium as well as meeting all of their favourite Ospreys players.

Andrew Hore, CEO of Ospreys Rugby said: “The launch of the new kit is always an exciting time of year and we wanted to make an even bigger splash this year by giving supporters the opportunity to be a major part of the big reveal on Friday 8th August.

“We’re inviting each of the daily winners to come to the stadium and place their piece of the shirt together with all the others to officially reveal our new 2014/15 kit at the Club Shop. It really is a prize that money can’t buy. We hope as many of our supporters as possible from throughout the region listen out for the clues and get involved.”

The pieces are being hidden throughout Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend. The first person to approach the Ospreys staff at each location and pick up the shirt segment will be the winner. Where possible, winners will need to be available from 12-2pm on Friday 8th August at the Liberty Stadium for the kit launch event.

The event, which starts at 12pm is set to be a family fun day with rides and inflatables for kids to play on, a live broadcast with Phil Hoyles from The Wave as well as a fashion show revealing the new kit and leisure wear.
