Ospreys and London Welsh agree working

The Ospreys have signed a Heads of Agreement with London Welsh Rugby Football Club Ltd that could see the two organisations sharing expertise and resources in the future.

London Welsh have enjoyed a successful season in The Championship, and harbour realistic ambitions of achieving Guinness Premiership status in the coming seasons.

With that in mind, representatives of the club recently approached the Ospreys requesting a meeting to discuss ways in which they may be able to share the expertise in place at the region, in order to give them the best possible chance of achieving their Premiership ambition.

Given the progress made at the Ospreys in under seven years since our inception, and the success already enjoyed by the region on and off the field in this time, it was felt that an insight into the structures and systems now in place at the region, and an understanding into the ongoing work which, it is hoped, will create long term sustainable success for the Ospreys, would prove beneficial to London Welsh as they prepare for the next push towards the top tier in the English domestic set-up.

The Ospreys are obviously delighted to be able to share our experiences with such a historic and esteemed rugby club. Having discussed the issues at depth with representatives of London Welsh, it is clear that an ongoing partnership will prove mutually beneficial and an agreement has been reached between the two parties to work closely together moving forward.

This agreement is hopefully just the beginning of a relationship between the two organisations, which will, it is hoped, become a long and fruitful one.

We look forward to working closely with the directors and management of London Welsh Rugby Football Club Ltd.
