The Eyasses have the chance to emulate the achievements of the senior Ospreys team this weekend, when they face a touring Australian national team at Bridgend Ford Brewery Field on Sunday (KO 12.30pm)
The Ospreys secured a memorable 24-16 win over the senior Wallabies at the Liberty Stadium on the November 1st 2006, and this time it’s the turn of the U18s, who earned the opportunity to challenge this year’s Australian Schools U18s team by completing a clean sweep of victories against their regional rivals earlier this season in the WRU Regional Age-Grade Championship.
For current U18s Head Coach, Shaun Connor, the game offers the opportunity to complete a rare win double over Australia, having played a key role in the region’s win back in 2006, kicking 14 points in a man of the match performance.
Admission to the game on Sunday is priced at just £3 for adults and £1 OAPs, with kids going free, so why not pop along to the home of Bridgend Ravens to support the cause and cheer on the next generation of Ospreylians as they look to take a major scalp?
