OitC Strava update

It may be the weekend, but that isn’t stopping those signed up to Ospreys in the Community’s #Route77 Strava Challenge.

To kickstart 2021 we challenged those from Ospreylia and further afield to join us as we attempt to travel the length of the region everyday. Our team are actively encouraging and motivating others and themselves to keep active whilst promoting positive mental and physical wellbeing from exercising daily.

Covering every club that make up the Ospreys (77 in total) community coaches, staff, players, supporters and fitness fanatics have taken part to help us reach that magic milestone target of 12,500km.

Whilst keeping safe and adhering to Government guidelines in place, our participants have jogged, walked, swam, watt biked their way virtually through Central Park in New York and discovered beautiful hotspots around the region.

Keeping fit and active has seen us blitz the stats as we climb closer to that target. As a team we’ve climbed Mount Everest three times, jam-packed 25 days’ worth of activities into less than 9 days and the numbers just keep adding.

A special mention goes to Porthcawl U12s who between them have notched up 600km as a team.

The stats so far*

Activities - 728

Distance - 6,880km

Time - 683h 25m+

Elevation - 20,843m
