Ospreys players joined students and staff members from the Neath Port Talbot College Department of Sport and Public Services on Thursday for a special Comic Relief Marathon Relay.
Each student plus each member of staff were participating in a relay around the 3G pitch at the Llandarcy facility they share with the Ospreys, between 8am and 5pm.
Each runner must carry a baton around the 320 metre pitch as quickly as possible and at the end of the day the total number of laps will have been recorded and the total number of marathons completed will be discovered. 130 laps of the 3G pitch equates to one complete marathon.
Each participant is paying a £2 entry fee per lap with all proceeds going to Comic Relief and the Ospreys players, having recognised this as a great challenge for a great cause, agreed to also individually run a leg of this marathon relay before starting their training day, with each player paying their own entry fee.
