Ospreys Rugby were saddened to hear news on Monday that Neath stalwart Brian Thomas has passed away at the age of 72 following a long illness.
A true servant of his hometown club for many years, Thomas represented the All Blacks with distinction on and off the field, captaining the club as a player before going on to hold the post of Team Manager between 1981 and 1996, arguably the club’s most successful period. He was capped 21 times by Wales during the 1960’s.
Grandfather of young Ospreys second row Jack Jones, the thoughts of everybody at the Ospreys are with Brian’s family and friends at this sad time.
