Meet YOUR team at the Liberty Stadium on Friday

Fans coming to the Liberty Stadium to cheer on the Ospreys in the opening RaboDirect PRO12 game of the new season against Leinster will get the chance to meet the players straight after the final whistle.

The European champions arrive in Ospreylia on Friday evening (KO 7.05pm) for what promises to be a cracking contest to get the campaign underway.

Players and supporters alike will give their all for the cause over 80 minutes, and at the final whistle, the whole squad will spend time with fans to sign autographs and pose for pictures, getting to know the people they represent when wearing the famous black shirt.

Chief Operations Officer, Andrew Hore, said:

“What better way to kick-off the new season than with a home game against the European champions, and to make it even better, fans coming to the game will be able to meet their team after the final whistle. We’ve got a young and exciting squad who will want to get off to a good start, and the fans will have a part to play in that.

“We’ve done similar signing sessions at the end of games and they’ve always proved popular with supporters and players alike and I don’t expect it to be any different this time.

“Straight after the game ends, the players will go to the stands to sign autographs and will spend plenty of time with the fans to ensure all the young and not so young supporters at the game get a chance to grab a photo and their signatures.”

Justin Tipuric is hoping to be involved for the region in the match after returning from international camp, and he said that the ‘meet the team’ session after the game is a great idea.

“Anything which allows us to get to know our supporters, and for them to get closer to us, is brilliant. It should be a great match, and it’s an opportunity for us to make a real impact at the start of the season, and we can then spend time with the Ospreys fans after the game, helping to make it a special evening for everyone present. We’re all really looking forward to getting the new season underway.”

Tickets for the game are on sale now at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office, online, and via the Ticket Hotline on 0844 815 6665, with kids tickets in the Family Area priced at just £1. The Leinster match, and all home games during 2011/12, are covered by the super value for money season-tickets, which remain available to purchase, with adult prices starting at £165 for 16 games (£10 a match), and up to four children able to go free with a paying adult.
