Ospreys Rugby are delighted to be able to offer an exciting internship opportunity within the busy media team for the 2016/17 season.
The internship will run for the entire length of the 2016/17 season, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to gain invaluable experience of working within the rugby industry for an innovative and ground-breaking organisation that continues to lead the way in Wales, on and off the field.
This internship position would suit a student looking to fill a year-long work placement, or a suitably qualified individual looking to break into the sports Media industry.
The previous media intern is now employed full-time by Ospreys Rugby.
Media Communications Intern duties will include, but are not restricted to :
- Focus on Ospreys community, development and age-grade rugby activity
- Assisting with the provision of editorial copy for official website, match day programme and marketing materials
- Assisting with social media content creation
- Match day media management at Liberty Stadium
- Supporting the ongoing day-to-day press office operations at Ospreys Rugby
- Providing administrative support to the media team
Ideally, you will be either a recent graduate in a discipline related directly to the internship applied for or will be currently working towards completing a related qualification. Knowledge of Ospreys Rugby and our vision, as well as the wider rugby union landscape, is desirable but not essential.
Although working hours can be arranged around any existing study and/or work commitments, the successful applicant will be required to work some unsocial hours including weekends.
