Marty Holah citing

Result of WRU professional disciplinary panel

The WRU Professional Disciplinary Panel, chaired by Terry Vaux, held a hearing this evening (Tuesday 7th December 2010) at Millennium Stadium to deal with citing complaints brought by the match citing commissioner John Charles against Ospreys player Marty Holah following the Magners League match against Edinburgh on Saturday 4th December.

The complaints against Holah were for alleged breaches of Law 10.4 (d) tripping an opponent and Law 10.4 (f) playing an opponent without the ball.

The player was found guilty on both counts with the offences being considered ‘mid range’.

The Panel awarded Holah a ban for a period of two weeks after mitigating factors were taken into account.

The player has a period of 48hrs in which to lodge any appeal.

The Ospreys are currently assessing the implications of the verdict and will make no further comment regards this matter at this time.
