Luke Davies signs for Ospreys

The Ospreys announced today that scrum-half Luke Davies had joined the team.

Davies began his rugby career at Cefneithin before joining the Scarlets Academy. He made his professional debut in the BKT URC against Benetton in the 2021/22 season. The promising scrum-half then moved to the Jersey Reds.

He has also represented Wales three times at u20 level.

Speaking on his move, Davies said:

“It’s brilliant to be signing for such a big club like the Ospreys. There’s a great group down here, the coaches and players have already made me feel welcome.

“This is a top opportunity for me to contribute my skills and passion to a club with such a rich history and dedicated fan base. I'm looking forward to working alongside my new teammates and pushing on with them to achieve as much as possible.”

Head Coach, Toby Booth, said:

“We’re happy to announce Luke as a new signing at the Ospreys. He is a player with a lot of potential and one of our focuses will be working closely with him to help him achieve that. As a young scrum half, he’ll bring a fresh skillset and set of energy to the team.

“At the Ospreys, we’ve committed to building a supportive environment that gives both our younger and senior boys the best possible platform to thrive and develop into top class players, and we’ll be looking to do that with Luke.”
