Liberty Stadium set for Heineken Christmas

As the reigning English champions head to Ospreylia on 'Black Friday', rugby fans in the region are preparing for a real Christmas cracker at the Liberty Stadium.

Saracens are in town for the return leg of the crucial Heineken Cup double-header following Saturday’s game at Wembley Stadium, which saw the Ospreys head home with a crucial bonus point that could prove the difference in the final outcome of the pool.

Ospreys Managing Director, Roger Blyth, commented:

“It’s going to be a massive game and a huge occasion for Ospreys Rugby. Saracens are the current champions of England and they are coming to the Liberty Stadium for what could be the central game to the outcome of the Pool so it’s going to be an absolute cracker.

“Everybody is looking forward to it, this is what European rugby is all about – big games and big crowds. Judging by the noise created by our fans last weekend at Wembley, it should be something special when Saracens come to town. We’ve got a long unbeaten record at the Liberty, going back to 2005, and the fans will have a massive part in us extending that record into 2012, as we are taking on one of the best teams to have come to the Liberty Stadium in our short history.”

Tickets for the game are still on sale, and there are a number of options available for supporters looking to make the night a special Christmas occasion, with hospitality bookings being taken for anything from one person to parties of 100 or more.

The Liberty Stadium will also host a special 'Black Friday' bash for season-ticket holders between 6.00pm and the 8.00pm kick-off. For just £15 per person, season-ticket holders can enjoy mulled wine and a hot festive roll followed by a delicious mince pie in the comfort of one of the Liberty Stadium's hospitality suites, with a free raffle and an opportunity to meet Ospreys players.
