Liberty Stadium pre-season opposition confirmed

The Ospreys will welcome Bath to the Liberty Stadium for a pre-season fixture on Saturday 18th August, KO 3.00pm.

The Aviva Premiership team will bring a squad packed with familiar faces, providing a stern test for Steve Tandy’s men as they step up their preparations for the forthcoming campaigning.

Among those likely to feature at the Liberty are 2011 Rugby World Cup winner Stephen Donald, who kicked the winning penalty in last year’s final for New Zealand. He should be joined by the likes of England internationals Dan Hipkiss, Sam Vesty, Olly Barkley, Matt Banahan and Lee Mears, as well as summer signings such as Argentina wing Horacio Aguila and ex-Scarlets lock Dominic Day. The game will also provide an early return to Ospreylia for Paul James who moved to Bath following the region’s PRO12 Final win in Dublin at the end of May.

The fixture comes eight days after the Ospreys face French giants Clermont Auvergne, a game which is the culmination of a four day training camp in the picturesque town of Issoire, part of the Puy-de-Dome area.

Admission to the match is covered by the 2012/13 Ospreys Season Membership, which remains on sale offering tremendous value for all supporters, with an all-time Ospreys record total of more than 8,500 members already signed up for the season.

Prices start at just £185 for standard memberships, allowing you to watch all 17 Ospreys homes games in the regular season – 11 RaboDirect PRO12, three Heineken Cup pool games and two LV= Cup pool games, in addition to the Bath fixture.

What’s more, the Ospreys are rewarding EVERY single season membership with a buy one, get one free offer, meaning members can purchase two for the price of one (free membership not available to any person registered as a season-ticket holder in 2011/12).

All members who register a friend or family member for a free membership no later than 5pm on Saturday 11th August will also receive a £25 voucher for the Ospreys Club Shop. There are also FREE membership for all U16’s, with up to four going free with a paying adult – with the buy one get one free offer meaning mum and dad plus four children can enjoy a whole season of first class rugby entertainment at the Liberty Stadium for just £185 – that’s less than £11 per game.
