Ben Lewis has been given the go ahead to resume playing once again, more than four months after suffering a neck injury in the Magners League game against Aironi at the Liberty Stadium back in September.
The 24-year old flanker was stretchered off the field in the first half of the 38-6 victory, but having been reviewed by specialists recently, he has been made available for selection again by the Ospreys medical team.
Head Physio, Chris Towers, confirmed:
“Ben is ready to return to action following the neck injury he sustained at the end of September.
“We’ve been gradually building him back up into rugby and contact sessions over the last few weeks, and there have been no adverse effects, while he satisfied the necessary requirements in terms of fitness testing.
“In light of this, along with specialist opinion that he is now fit to play again, he has been made available for selection again from this week onwards.”
