Last few spaces left for Velindre QoS night

Theres still time to book your place at a special Question of Sport evening at the Towers Hotel.

The Ospreys will be represented by current Wales stars Adam Jones, Alun Wyn Jones and Ryan Jones, and will want a repeat of last year's win over Cardiff Blues on the last question in a similar event last year.

The Scarlets will be represented by former Wales, British Lions and Llanelli legend Ieuan Evans, former Wales and Scarlets star Matthew J Watkins and current Wales and Scarlets star Rhys Priestland. The Quiz Master for the evening will be Rupert Moon!

The event will raise funds for Velindre Cancer Centre, the Ospreys’ chosen Charity of the Year for the second year running.

It’s also a charity close to the heart of Matthew J Watkins who’s currently receiving treatment at Velindre. Matthew is taking part in Velindre’s East Coast Bike Challenge this September, with 45 riders, which will see him cycle a gruelling 515km in just 5 days from Boston to New York.

Matthew said: “A lot of the boys I played with did the West Coast trip in 2012 and it looked brilliant. So when the chance came to join the East Coast Ride I signed up straight away – especially as its raisiing funds for Velindre, who have been brilliant. The work they do is amazing. This is a great way of raising money for Velindre, which is close to my heart, and having a great time.”

Last year's Ospreys Blues event was a complete sell out, and a limited number of tickets are available for the Ospreys Scarlets clash priced at £35 or £350 for a table of 10, which includes  bucks fizz on arrival, a three course meal, raffle, silent auction and great entertainment.
