The Ospreys visited Kenfig Hill RFC on Tuesday for the final leg of Shane Williams' farewell tour ahead.
The Ospreys legend is set to call time on his successful career at the end of the season, with the home PRO12 game against Newport Gwent Dragons on Friday 20th April pencilled in as his farewell game.
In the build up to that match, Shane has led the Ospreys squad on a tour of Ospreylia, which kicked off at Swansea University before stopping off at Aberavon Green Stars and Ystradgynlais RFC’s.
At all venues the players took part in an open training session watched by local families with hundreds of children getting the opportunity to meet their heroes and get their autographs and pictures with the Ospreys.
Speaking after the final stop-off of the tour around the region, Shane said:
“It’s been fantastic. To get out and about and meet so many of our fans has been brilliant. There’s been a great buzz at each of the venues, it’s important that we stay close to our local communities and this allows supporters to build a real bond with the players. Hopefully we’ll get to see some of the families we’ve seen on the tour at the Liberty for the Dragons game next week.”
Tickets for the game are on sale now at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office, online at ospreysrugby.com/buytickets and via the Ticket Hotline on 0844 815 6665, with up to four children able to watch the game ABSOLUTELY FREE with a paying adult.
