After the schedule for this season's Heineken Cup was revealed earlier today, Ospreys Director of Coaching Scott Johnson says that the whole region is excited about the challenge that lies ahead.
Speaking this afternoon he said:
“It’s a tough group and I think it’s a similar story to last year, whoever goes through from that group will be in a pretty good place. Unlike last year, I think there’ll only be one team going through, as we’ll all be fighting to take points off each other. It promises to be a great contest.
“I don’t worry too much about the schedules, you’ve got to beat them no matter what, when or where. You can put up a convincing argument either way that the schedule could work for or against you, so I don’t get too bogged down with that. We know it’s a tough challenge and our focus will be about preparing in the right way for each game. It’s a tough challenge, a real test for the squad and it promises to be an exciting time for the region. If you want to be the best, you’ve got to prove it the hard way.
“It’s going to be tough again, no doubt about it, but we’re all excited and really looking forward to kicking it off in Toulon, an afternoon that will be as tough as they come.”
