It’s almost time to reveal all….

The waiting is almost over for Ospreys supporters, who will get their first glimpse of the brand new home jersey for the 2013/14 season this weekend.

The jersey will be revealed online at 6pm on Friday, with the new-look shirt and a full range of Ospreys leisure wear available to buy from the revamped and redesigned Club Shop at the Liberty Stadium from 9am on Saturday morning (3rd August).

Fans will be joined at the Club Shop when it reopens following a complete refurbishment by a whole raft of young talent from the region, who will help to launch the new jersey as supporters get a glimpse of the future of their region.

The Ospreys’ contingent from Wales’ successful Junior World Championship campaign earlier this summer, where they reached the final, will rub shoulders with supporters along with the likes of Dan Biggar, Hanno Dirksen, Tom Habberfield and the Ospreys latest Welsh internationals, Dafydd Howells and Dan Baker, with player appearances taking place between 11am and 1pm.

Entertainment will be provided by our broadcast partners at the The Wave, who will be broadcasting live from 10am right outside the Club Shop, while there will be family fun provided to keep the kids of all ages happy.

Any 2012/13 season members still to renew their membership for the new season get a superb double whammy if they sign up on Saturday – not only will they automatically receive the usual 10 per cent season members discount on the new jersey and leisurewear, they will also be able to take advantage of a special one-day only £20 discount off their renewal price.

Chief Executive, Andrew Hore, said that the day would offer a fantastic opportunity for supporters to discover their future at the Liberty Stadium:

“Jersey launch day is always one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the summer and it’s no different this year.

“The waiting is almost over, and there are just a few days left before supporters get to see the latest fantastic Ospreys shirt. Having seen it, I’ve got no doubt that it will prove to be one of the most popular yet.

“It’s going to be an enjoyable family day out with plenty going on to keep everybody occupied, while giving supporters a real glimpse of the future. We’ve got a wealth of young talent coming through the development pathway, as highlighted by the significant representation we had in the successful Wales U20 campaign at the Junior World Championship and with yet more players gaining their first senior international recognition on Wales’ summer tour.

“We want to tap into the sense of excitement that is around at the moment and by putting the focus for the jersey launch onto our future talent, it allows supporters to really discover what the Ospreys are about moving forward."
