"It's all about accuracy and we made the most

Kristian Phillips helped the Ospreys to their way to a convincing LV= Cup win over Leicester Tigers at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field on Friday evening, and after the game he was quick to praise his team-mates who shone on their night in the spotlight.

Speaking to the media post-match, the winger said:

Weve got a lot of international players in the squad and its a privilege to train with them everyday, but there are boys out there today who work hard in training. We wait for our chance, and when our chance comes hopefully we can take it. We did so tonight.

It was an absolute brilliant game to play in and it was a great spectacle. We tried to play as much running rugby as we could, the brand of rugby we want to play at the Ospreys is open, exciting rugby. Considering the weather the pitch held up really well and we passed the ball about to score a few tries, which was brilliant.

We look to play a quick tempo game, it was a bit wet but its all about accuracy and we made the most of our opportunities. We were clinical and our skills fortunately were good.

Its brilliant to come here to Bridgend and play. The facilities and the hospitality are great, its good to get out into the community to play. Bridgend is a big part of the Ospreys and its nice to be able to come here and play in front of a good crowd and a good atmosphere.

Weve got a short turnaround, weve got Connacht away next Friday night so well have a nice relaxing day on Saturday then its back in again on Sunday to prepare for that one.
