The Ospreys have received a double injury setback with the news that Sam Parry and Eli Walker have both been ruled out of action for up to eight weeks.
The duo both saw specialists last week and Physio, Nick Hess, confirmed that they face a spell on the sidelines:
“Eli has undergone surgery to repair damaged cartilage and is looking at an eight week lay-off as he recovers and rehabs.
“Sam suffered ankle ligament damage in the recent game against Treviso. Scans have confirmed that he doesn’t require surgery, but he is still looking at a spell of six-eight weeks before he will be available for selection again.”
In addition, second row Rynier Bernardo suffered a knee injury in the opening minutes of Saturday’s game versus Gloucester and faces a lengthy period of time on the sidelines. He will undergo a scan on Monday before seeing specialists later in the week to confirm the extent of his injury and the likely lay-off.
