Information for travelling supporters

With a large travelling support heading off to Northampton at the weekend we have the following important information for all Ospreylians supporting the cause at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday.

The Ospreys Supporters Club have arranged pre and post-match meeting places for those making the trip.

Supporters are invited to meet at the THOMAS A BECKET pub (52 St James’ Road, Northampton) from 2pm onwards, where as well as a warm welcome, a ‘Cider & Sausage’ Festival is also being held on the same weekend On offer will be some luxury butchers sausages together with some fantastic craft ciders!

Post match, the OSC will be heading into Northampton town centre and will be basing themselves at the WIG & PEN (19 St Giles’ Street, Northampton) where all supporters are more than welcome to join them to either celebrate or commiserate!

Travelling supporters are being encouraged by the OSC to take an Ospreys flag to the game, helping them to stand out in the crowd to ensure the boys know they are there backing them, no matter how vociferous the home crowd are.

TICKET UPDATE

All unsold tickets from our allocation have now been returned to Franklin’s Gardens. However, while there is now a limited number of places remaining there are still a few blocks at Franklin’s Gardens where groups can sit or stand together so if you haven’t booked yet you still have time.

As of 4:30pm on Wednesday, October 222nd, groups can book together in the following areas:

SITTING Blocks X, Y and Z
STANDING Block B

However tickets are very popular and this information is likely to change quickly!

So don’t miss out – head to www.tinyurl.com/SAI-OSP-1415 and follow the straightforward instructions! You can select your seat on any device, whether computer, tablet or smartphone, and by using Print@Home you can beat the match day queues and save the admin fees, too!

A number of single seats are also available in several blocks.

BIG SCREEN ACTION

The bars at the Gardens open at 2pm, and will be showing the action live from the day’s other European Rugby Champions Cup matches, including Ulster v Toulon and Bath v Toulouse (from 3:15pm). Then after the Saints’ game has finished they’ll be showing Leicester’s trip to the Scarlets, too!

POST-MATCH LIVE MUSIC

The Rodber Suite will be home to live music once the game has finished, with members of the Saints squad also mingling with supporters. So you can listen to the music, chat to players and watch more European Rugby Champions Cup action on the screens (albeit without commentary; for that you will have to go to one of the other bars) all at the same time!

Finally, with considerable roadworks ongoing in and around Northampton at the moment, so travelling supporters are advised to leave plenty of additional time for their journeys to the ground this Saturday.
