Supporters travelling to Sunday's Heineken Cup game at Welford Road (kick off 12.45pm) are being advised to allow plenty of time to travel and park due to the Leicester Marathon and Half Marathon, which takes place on Sunday morning.
Starting at 9.15am from Victoria Park, the route will take runners to the north of the city through Thurmaston, Barkby, Syston, Queniborough, Rearsby, Ratcliffe on the Wreake and East Goscote before rejoining the route of the Half Marathon and returning to Leicester through Birstall, Belgrave and Abbey Park. The runners will head up New Walk to the finish at Victoria Park.
There will be a series of rolling road-blocks, starting with the closure of London Road from 9am to 9.30am. Inbound traffic using the A6 will not be affected, organisers said.
