Ospreys in the Community in partnership with the Welsh Rugby Union and Llangatwg Comprehensive School would like to appoint a Hub Officer to increase the delivery of its successful Hub Programme across the Neath Valley. Based at Llangatwg Comprehensive School and working with surrounding primary schools and rugby clubs, the Officer will deliver a range of positive rugby experiences to all pupils, male and female, of all ages and abilities.
The successful candidate will work across cluster schools and local clubs to develop rugby interest and talent among boys and girls across the cluster. You will complement the work of teachers through involvement in lessons and extra-curricular activities, whilst assisting the Ospreys in the Community team in delivering a range of community and match day opportunities. You will represent the values of Ospreys in the Community throughout your work.
The ideal candidate will have experience of coaching young people through multi-sport, with a focus on rugby (ideally holding a Level 1 qualification). Experience of working successfully with children and young people is an advantage, otherwise a strong commitment to developing rugby with the children and young people in our community. You will also agree participation and growth targets and provide objective and accurate key performance indicators and qualitative reports by agreed deadlines.
The officer will also be a key officer of the wider Ospreys in the Community team helping to grow the Ospreys brand and support with a range of community based activities.
