Holley "proud" of Ospreys

Head Coach believes victory could prove to be a defining moment for the Ospreys.

Speaking to the media at Thomond Park on Saturday evening, Holley said:

“I’m extremely proud of everyone tonight. It’s the first win at Thomond Park for us since our inception, and who knows, it could be a defining moment for us.

“We targeted two wins to finish, and I think we showed tremendous belief tonight and a huge desire for each other, so it’s really pleasing.

“It was all about us tonight. It’s been all about us since the Biarritz match. That was a game where obviously, we missed out on the big prize, but what it did was give us a sense of belief that we could compete against the best teams in Europe. You have to do that if you want to be the best.

“I just said to the players to remember what it was like last year in this changing room, and what it’s like this year. We’ve probably put that one to bed, and we can move on from here with great resolve and desire, to get something out of the season.

“We’ve still got a difficult game to come against the Dragons at home. They won’t make it easy for us. They’ve had a great season, all credit to them, but we’ll be smarting after our loss at Rodney Parade. Our tails are up and we’ll be hard to beat now.”
