Holley disappointed with Ospreys peformance

' Probably the worst 60 mins of rugby we have played' says Head Coach

Speaking after the 33-17 defeat to Edinburgh at Murrayfield on Sunday afternoon, Sean Holley said:

"This afternoon we saw probably the worst 60 mins of rugby we have played as Ospreys.

"It was a very disjointed performance, some players were rusty but there are no excuses and we cannot take anything away from Edinburgh. We had no territory in the first half, and although we defended well, the scoreboard meant that we chased the game a bit too early and gifted Edinburgh with some easy tries from turnovers in their half. All credit to the opposition for finishing them well. To concede three tries in seven second half mins was a killer blow and although we showed character and got into our stride in the last 20 mins, we left ourselves too much to do.

"This result shows how tight the league is but we must perform better if we are to even contemplate a play off place. No one has got carried away with where we were in the table or what we have achieved so far this season. Whilst we have been disrupted in the build up to the game, in terms of availability and access to players, we expect better from ourselves here at the Ospreys and we feel we have let ourselves down. We will re group ahead of our next match and make the necessary improvements to ensure that we don't have a repeat of this afternoon."
