Giles gets Wales call-up

Ospreys teenager Keelan Giles has been called into the senior Wales squad to provide injury cover in New Zealand.

Giles, 18, is currently part of Wales’ U20 Championship squad competing in Manchester.  He scored two tries in his side’s opening Championship game against Ireland, but was withdrawn from the team shortly before kick-off in Saturday’s game against Georgia in order to make his way to New Zealand, along with Rhys Patchell who has also been called up.

He has played for Swansea in the Championship this season and represented the Ospreys in the Singha Premiership 7s last summer as well as the B&I Cup, but has yet to play a senior game for his home region.

Meanwhile, prop Paul James has failed to recover from a calf injury and will return to the UK on Sunday
