Get ready for the Blackout with the players

Ospreys players will be out and about across the region over the next 10 days promoting the Blackout at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday 18th December, when Munster are the visitors for a crucial Heineken Cup clash (KO 3.30pm).

Fans are being urged to make their presence felt and show their support for the Ospreys by wearing black for the game, with the players encouraging as many as possible to paint their faces black in order to completely black out their home for the crucial match against the former European champions.

To promote the occasion, the entire squad will hit the road with appearances lined up for Swansea city centre as well as a number of Tesco stores throughout Ospreylia, where they will be meeting and greeting fans, signing autographs and posing for photos.

Ryan Jones said that the players are looking forward to both the appearances where they will get to meet some of their fans, and to the Blackout at the Liberty Stadium:

“It’ll be great to get out and about and meet the fans in the build up to the Munster game, and to be able to encourage them to take part in the Blackout. We are approaching a full house for that game so it’ll be fantastic if we can get everyone attending the match to wear black, it’ll look incredible.”
