If you weren't a rugby player, what would you be?

Golfer, I think. In the last few years, I’ve gotten into my golf and, yeah, I think it’s a good sport.

If you could play in any other position, what would it be and why?

I used to play quite a bit of outside half when I was younger. I've always liked having my hands on the ball a lot in a game, so it’s either 9 or 10. My dad was a 10 as well, and my brother is. So, yeah, I’ve always quite liked 10.

What are your interests outside of rugby?

Golf. I am into my coffee as well. I like going out for coffee and stuff with the boys. Spend a lot of my time doing that… probably more than I should. I also do watch quite a bit of TV. Stranger Things, recently… Peaky Blinders is very good.

If you had to pick one meal to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I like Italian food, so maybe like a linguine or something… although I am not really sure.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Just work hard, really. Well, I’ve always been quite a hard worker. But, yeah, just keep your head down and don't stress too much about what you think is going to happen and just keep at it really.

What was your favourite moment of the last season?

There were quite a few good ones over the Irish teams. So maybe beating Munster or Ulster. Yeah, they were good. Highlights of the year.

What are you looking forward to this season?

Cracking on and trying to get as much game time as I can. Just getting better really.
