February at the Liberty Stadium – It’s huge

It’s second versus first at the Liberty Stadium this Saturday afternoon, when Munster visit for a 5.15pm kick-off, the first of two back to back home games against play-off rivals in eight days.

After 14 rounds, Munster sit in first place in the Guinness PRO12 on 55 points, just one ahead of the Ospreys, and they arrive in Ospreylia on Saturday for what promises to be a memorable tussle between the sides currently holding the top two spots.

Munster have lost just twice in the Championship this season, the last of which was against Leinster at the start of October, while the Ospreys have lost just three times with Saturday’s opponents the last to inflict defeat on the them in the PRO12, at the start of November in Cork.

As if that wasn’t enough to get excited about, after that crunch clash, 2015 champions Glasgow then come to the Liberty the following weekend for a 1.05pm kick-off on Sunday 26th February.

Glasgow dropped out of the top four on Friday night, leapfrogged by the Scarlets who claimed a 26-14 win in Glasgow, so they’ll be looking to keep the pressure on in the race for the play-offs. The Ospreys themselves won in Glasgow this season, their 22-5 win at Scotstoun in October their first in the Scottish city for seven years.

It’s a crunch period for the region, back to back games that could go a long way to shaping how the end of season play-offs look, and to ensure that the boys have the best possible backing for both games, we have introduced a great deal that provides unbeatable value:

IF YOU PURCHASE A TICKET FOR THE MUNSTER MATCH YOU CAN GET THE GLASGOW MATCH FOR HALF PRICE

Ospreys Managing Director, Andrew Millward, said:

“This is a huge four or five weeks for us and we need all the support we can get, to really push this young squad on during a tough month. It’s been an incredible season so far but we’ve won nothing yet. We have to keep performing and the boys have to deliver in these big games, so it’s important that everybody plays their part, on and off the field.

“We know that it’s an expensive time of year with international games as well as big PRO12 matches coming up so this deal makes supporting the Ospreys at this crucial time more affordable for everyone.”
