One lucky season-ticket holder (and a guest of their choice) will travel with the Ospreys squad to Toulon for this season's Heineken Cup qualifier thanks to a special prize draw announced today.
To mark the launch of the Ospreys Supporters Club (OSC), the region has teamed up with the new fans organisation to offer season-ticket holders the chance to win some fantastic prizes ahead of the new campaign.
The OSC has been formed by a group of passionate Ospreys fans this summer, in conjunction with management at the region, and is set to be formally launched at an inaugural open event later this summer, with the objective of promoting the interests of the Ospreys and their supporters on and off the field, as well as providing activities and services for the benefit of the fans.
Now, with the build-up to the new season well underway and like-for-like season ticket sales showing an increase of more than 15 per cent on last summer following May's Magners League Grand Final success over Leinster, the Ospreys and the OSC have combined forces to provide even more incentive for fans to sign-up, with all season-ticket holders who purchase before Saturday 14th August being entered into a prize draw to win a trip for two with the team to Toulon for the Heineken Cup Pool match, along with a host of other fantastic prizes.
Ospreys Managing Director, Roger Blyth, said:
"Since we had our first meeting with a group of fans about the possibility of establishing a supporters club back in April, things have moved very quickly thanks to the endeavors of the individuals concerned, to the point where all season-ticket holders now automatically get membership of the OSC and they are putting together a launch event to coincide with the start of the season. The individuals concerned should definitely be congratulated for their efforts so far, and at the Ospreys we are all excited about the plans they have and the impact that the OSC should have.
"It's with this in mind that we have agreed to work with the OSC to promote this excellent prize draw which provides every season-ticket holder who purchases before August 14th with the chance to win some fantastic prizes. There is still more than a week to run until the deadline for the Earlybird prices (July 18th), so with the combination of outstanding value for money prices and entry to the draw, the incentive to purchase a season-ticket for the coming campaign is pretty obvious."
All supporters who have already purchased their season-ticket will be automatically entered into the draw. Any junior supporters who receive free season-tickets through the family friendly initiatives will not be eligible.
The draw will take place at the pre-season fixture against Gloucester on Saturday 21st August, with the full list of prizes as follows:

The cut-price deals allow supporters to watch the Ospreys for just £9.70 a game when purchasing a Category C season-ticket, an incredible saving of 51% on the equivalent match-day ticket, with adult season tickets starting at just £165 and OAP's and students paying just £125, when purchased before the Early Bird deadline of July 18th.
With the introduction of Benetton Treviso and Aironi to the Magners League for next season, the package offers better value for money than ever. Season tickets now cover 17 fixtures, two more than the 09/10 season, incorporating 11 Magners League fixtures in the regular season (not play-offs), Heineken Cup and LV= Cup pool stages and a pre-season friendly.
