Family fun day marks the return of Magners

The Liberty Stadium will be the place to be for families this Saturday, when the Ospreys mark the beginning of a new Magners League season with an extra special programme of events that will provide an afternoon of first class entertainment for all the family, on and off the field, ahead of the game against Ulster (KO 6.30pm).

The fun and games get underway four hours ahead of kick-off, with the Ospreys new broadcast partners, The Wave, broadcasting live from the stadium from 2.30pm right through to kick-off, with fun and games, music and spectator interaction. The pre-match atmosphere will step up a few gears at 4.30pm, when the popular Magners Supporters Village opens for business in the West Car Park near the Super Store, with live music from local band This River to get the supporters rocking while they enjoy a beer or two ahead of the game, making the most of the £2 pound a pint offer from 4.30 till 5.30 in place exclusively at the Village, courtesy of sponsors Worthington’s.

Worthington’s will also be providing exclusive promotional giveaways to fans in the Village ahead of the game, along with the our official partner the South Wales Evening Post children’s promotion, while car lovers will get the chance to see the new E-Class Mercedes, which will be on site thanks to Sinclair Mercedes.

Younger supporters will be able to enjoy the ever popular-Kidszone, which gets underway in the South and West Stand Concourse area at 4.30pm. Featuring a range of rugby themed inflatables such as try line tussle, bungee run, and passing targets, the Kidszone always provides great fun for kids and older Ospreys alike.

There will also be a matchday prize draw taking place, where one season-ticket holder could win £200 – but you have to be at the game to claim your prize at half-time. It could be you!!!!

Ospreys Managing Director, Roger Blyth, said:

“We realise that many supporters expect their visit to the rugby to be about more than just the 80 minutes on the pitch, which is why we have pulled together such an exciting and varied programme of events for games throughout the new season, starting on Saturday. We’ve listened to supporters views about what we can do to make it more enjoyable, and with the Magners Supporters Village, live entertainment and the Kidszone in operation, we are making the Liberty Stadium a place for the whole family to enjoy a great day out this Saturday, and every matchday.

“We want the Liberty Stadium to be the best party in town every matchday this season. While we realise that for that to happen, we have a responsibility to ensure that we give it everything we’ve got on the pitch, initiatives like this will help to ensure that supporters have a great time every time they visit the Liberty Stadium.”

Tickets for Saturday’s game are now available to purchase online at www.ospreysrugby.com, via the ticket hotline on 08700 400 004 or in person at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office, with prices starting at just £3 for children.
