The Ospreys U16's lost their WRU Regional Age Grade Championship Play-Off Semi-Final at Llandarcy on Monday evening.
Despite finishing top of the table with just two defeats in 10 games, the young Ospreys were unable to book their place in the Final, losing 16-11 to the Scarlets despite leading at the break.
Chris Forshaw gave the Eyasses a good start, scoring an unconverted try, before two Jack Maynard penalties for the Scarlets, either side of one from the Eyasses’ Josh White, left the score 8-6 to the home side at half-time.
The first score of the second period went the way of the Scarlets, a Steffan Evans try that was converted by Maynard saw the visitors edge in front, a position that remained the same until the final whistle, a second penalty by White not enough to see the Eyasses claw their way back.
