Early Bird offer extended!

With season-tickets continuing to fly out of the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office at an impressive rate, Ospreys bosses have confirmed a three week extension to the Early Bird offer.

The move comes as the special value-for-money deal is set to expire this weekend, and is a positive move that will continue to encourage fans to invest in a season-ticket as the new season approaches, with the new deadline confirmed for close of business on Saturday 7th August.

The credit-crunching packages that were unveiled at the start of June has resulted in a significant rise in uptake from Ospreys fans, with like-for-like sales compared to the same weekend last summer showing an increase of almost 15per cent, with regional management now hopeful the extended period will see sales soar past last year’s final total well before the Magners League season gets underway at the start of September.

Ospreys Managing Director, Roger Blyth, explained:

“Sales are continuing to go very well. We have been delighted with the response we’ve had to the various deals and packages we put together for this summer with a substantial rise in numbers to the point.

“We are very mindful of the fact that the economic situation remains uncertain for many people which is why we worked hard to create value-for-money offers in the first place, and that has been vindicated by the figures to date. With the Early Bird deadline and sales way up on the same time last year, we felt that we could see prices rise to the higher level now and maybe see sales start to slow, or we could be bold and continue to offer our fans the chance to sign up as season-ticket holders and watch the Ospreys for a very good price, which is what we’ve done.

“I would hope that given the rate of sales we’ve enjoyed so far, and the extended period for the reduced prices, demand will remain high over the coming weeks as more and more supporters opt to become the ultimate supporter and sign up for their first ever season-ticket.”

The Early Bird prices allow supporters to watch the Ospreys for just £9.70 a game when purchasing a Category C season-ticket, an incredible saving of 51% on the equivalent match day ticket, with adult season tickets starting at just £165 and OAP's and students paying just £125.

The Introduce-A-Friend initiative is once again operating, potentially allowing adult supporters the chance to watch the Ospreys all season completely free of charge, while all juniors (16 and under) can claim a free season-ticket in the Family Stand if accompanied by a paying adult.

In addition, to mark the launch of the new Ospreys Supporters Club (OSC), all supporters who purchase a season-ticket before Saturday 21st August will be entered into a special prize draw that will take place at the pre-season fixture against Gloucester, with the full list of prizes as follows:

• Trip for two to travel with the team to Toulon for Heineken Cup Group Match
• Business Club hospitality for one season ticket holder and three guests at an Ospreys home match
• Signed and framed Shirt
• Signed Ball
• Invitation for four people to attend a training session at Llandarcy
• 2010/11 Home Jersey
• 2010/11 Away Jersey
• 2010/11 Third Jersey
• 2010/11 Training Jersey
• A pair of tickets for the Wales v. England Six Nations match in Cardiff
• Car parking for the season at the Liberty Stadium
• A photo with your favourite player, which will be signed by them
• A signed and framed team photo

All supporters who have already purchased their season-ticket will be automatically entered into the draw (any junior supporters who receive free season-tickets through the family friendly initiatives will not be eligible).

Fans can now take advantage of a special Ospreys payment plan to spread the cost of a season-ticket over 10 monthly instalments, for as little as under £18 per month.
